Qnap Expands Turbo NAS Peripherals Compatibility List
New external and internal HDDs, UPnP routers, and UPS devices
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 11, 2011 at 3:13 pmQNAP Systems, Inc. announced expansion of compatible peripherals for its Turbo NAS which includes one external storage device, seven 3.5-inch hard drives, thirteen UPnP routers, and twenty-five Eaton UPS models are now fully compatible.
The Turbo NAS series models are now compatible with the Apacer AC230 500GB external hard drive, and the following 3.5-inch internal hard drives: Western Digital WD4500HLHX, WD3000HLHX, WD1500HLHX, Seagate ST1000NM0011, ST1000NM0011, ST500NM0011, and Hitachi HDS5C3020ALA632.
The ‘Auto Router Configuration’ feature, part of the QNAP MyCloudNAS service, now works with the following UPnP routers: Belkin N Wireless, F5D8633-4, Netgear SRX5308, DG834G, Telekom Speedport W 504V, Asus RT-N56U, Corega CG-BARGX, CG-BARGX, Thomson TG 585 v7, Zyxel P-2602HW-D1A, P-2601HN-F1, FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7390, Linksys WRT160N, E1000 and Sitecom Wireless Router 150N X1.
To provide the Turbo NAS users with more UPS options to safeguard the NAS and prevent data loss out of unexpected power failure, the following Eaton UPS models are now added to the compatibility list: Ellipse MAX 600, 850, 1100, 1500; Evolution 650, 850, 1150, 1550; 3S 550VA, 700VA; EX Rack/Tower 1000, 1500, 2200, 3000; 9130 UPS 700, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000; 5130 UPS 1250, 2500, 3000, and 5PX 1500i, 2000i, 3000i.
