This latest solution from NewBay is an extension of its cloud offering, LifeCache Digital Vault, enabling operators and device makers to deliver scalable and reliable personal digital content services.
This offering positions operators and device makers at the center of the multi-billion dollar personal digital content cloud market. LifeCache SyncDrive offers a way for users to manage all their personal content across a range of devices, with clients supported on PC, Mac, Android and iOS. LifeCache SyncDrive, in conjunction with LifeCache Digital Vault, is already being deployed by a European mobile operator.
"In today’s world of content fragmented across multiple devices, LifeCache SyncDrive was developed to make it simpler for users to backup and access personal digital content. Our experience shows a direct correlation between service usability, content stored, and improved subscriber loyalty. LifeCache SyncDrive is based on the premise that the easier it is for a subscriber to backup content, the more they will store, and thus the longer they will stay on the service. This solution ultimately delivers the new value added service revenues and extended customer lifetime value that operators and device makers are looking for," said David Manzor, senior product manager at NewBay.
As direct to consumer personal cloud services come and go, NewBay’s LifeCache SyncDrive solution enables operators and device makers to lead the marketplace in establishing branded, trusted, personal digital content services for connected devices. Now more than ever, consumers want access to all their personal content from any device, any time, and have a protected copy offsite in the case of theft or fire.
LifeCache SyncDrive syncs content across devices while also maintaining a copy of the file in the cloud. Usability is key for the solution Users drag and drop a file into the SyncDrive folder on their PC and it is instantly synced to the SyncDrive folder on their Mac, tablet or other mobile device.
