Under this agreement, Dell OEM will manufacture, provide hardware customization, distribute and support Dataram’s hardware platform beginning November 2011.
The creation of data continues to drive the storage market, which has led to an increase in spending and predictions of strong category growth over the next five years. According to IDC, the storage software sector experienced its seventh consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth during the second quarter of 2011. Worldwide spending on storage-related spending has increased 10.4 percent during 2010, which represents more than $1.2 billion of incremental spending compared with 2009, according to IDC.
"By leveraging Dell OEM Solutions for distribution, support, hardware customization and other services, Dataram can focus on delivering innovative technologies to optimize data centers’ storage capabilities," said Sameer Garde, VP and GM, Dell OEM Solutions. "We are pleased to help Dataram move their resources away from tactical maintenance and toward innovation, so they increase their competitive advantage and speed up time to profit."
