12Gb Mini SAS HD Cable Breaker From Quarch

UK company Quarch Technology Ltd., in test automation, have released a 12Gb/s Mini SAS HD Cable Breaker.

The module provides automated testing of cable insertion, removal and failure in next generation Mini-SAS HD interconnects.

The Quarch Mini SAS HD Cable Breaker implements high speed switching and sequencing logic to provide test automation and fault injection on all external Mini-SAS HD interconnects. The physical layer fault injection capabilities provide a tool for testing system response to intermittent and hard faults as well as complete cable removal and insertion at SAS data rates of up to 12Gbit/s.

All Torridon modules are designed to integrate into existing test systems with minimal effort and a range of control interfaces are available to suit customer requirements.

Advance samples of the module was in use through Serial Cables LLC during the next STA SAS Plugfest at the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Lab (UNH-IOL) on 19th – 23rd September 2011.
