Tom Valiante VP North America Channel Sales, Quantum

Valiante has 20 years of experience in channel sales, most recently serving as senior director, Americas Channel Business Development, at NetApp. He also spent nine years at Hitachi Data Systems in channel positions.
Valiante will report to Ted Stinson, senior vice president, Worldwide Sales.
"As Quantum continues to expand its portfolio of data protection and management solutions for both physical and virtual environments, channel partnerships are critical to bringing the benefits of these solutions to users and meeting our branded growth objectives," said Stinson. "Tom’s wealth of experience and deep understanding of the channel will enable us to create an even stronger partner network, particularly as we extend our reach into new markets."
Valiante comes to Quantum after 3 ½ years at NetApp. As head of Americas Channel Business Development there, he developed and managed more than 100 partner business plans and played a critical role in increasing sales as the company transitioned 70 percent of product revenue to new platforms. Prior to taking the Channel Business Development position, Valiante served as senior channel sales director for the Western Area.
At HDS, Valiante established the company’s channel program. As vice president, Channel Sales for North America, for seven years, Valiante led his team in growing channel sales from $20 million to half-a-billion dollars. He was then promoted to vice president, Global Traditional Channel Sales, where he drove the extension and customization of the programs he had successfully built in the Americas to other regions across the world.
