Chris O’Meara CFO, DataDirect Networks

DataDirect Networks (DDN) announced the appointment of Christopher O’Meara as Chief Financial Officer.

 In this role, O’Meara will be responsible for the financial management of DDN’s global operations and will lead the company’s planning, accounting, tax and treasury efforts as the organization continues its rapid growth.

Most recently Chris was CFO at Siperian, an enterprise software company. Prior to that, he was with Adaptec from 2006 to 2008 and from 1988 to 1998, holding a variety of titles including CFO from 2006 to 2008, and Vice President and Treasurer from 1992 to 1998. While at Adaptec, Chris managed multiple equity and convertible debt offerings, and 15 acquisitions of up to $800M in size. During Chris’ tenure in the 1990’s Adaptec grew from less than $100M to over $1 billion in revenue with a market capitalization of $6 billion. Chris was also with TIBCO Software from 1998 to 2005, as EVP and CFO from 2001 to 2005, leading a team of 150 people in Finance, Tax, IT and Investor Relations. While at TIBCO, he managed over $1 billion in equity offerings including an IPO; and negotiated and integrated 7 acquisitions of up to $240M in size.

O’Meara holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University.
