announced a partnership with Redapt, Inc.,
a data center architecture and infrastructure solutions provider.
Under this agreement, Redapt will integrate GlusterFS
with hardware providing customers with NAS storage technology for virtual and
cloud environments.
“With the dramatic rise of unstructured data, storage has quickly become
a major pain point for enterprises,” said Matt Huff, vice president of
business development at Redapt. “This
partnership with Gluster brings a great technology to our storage offerings and
is enabling us to offer a comprehensive, cost-effective storage solution that
delivers the scalability, performance and reliability that our customers need
to effectively run their data centers. Our customers are already experiencing
the benefits Gluster has to offer.“
Gluster and Redapt will work to help customers manage storage costs. Gluster’s storage solutions
have let thousands of enterprises deploy storage the same way they deploy
computing today – as a virtualized, commoditized, and scale-on-demand pool, improving
storage economics.
Combined with the customer’s choice of commodity computing
and storage resources, Gluster can scale-out to petabytes of capacity and GB/s
of throughput at a fraction of the cost of proprietary systems. Gluster ensures
HA with n-way replication both within and between public and private data
centers. Gluster is deployable both on-premise (as a virtual appliance or
bare-metal software appliance) and in public clouds such as Amazon Web
Services.
Redapt is focused on delivering integrated
IT solutions assembled from the technologies available to decrease
operating costs and improve TCO. Redapt offers competitive
pricing, asset management and performance improvements. This new partnership
with Gluster enables Redapt to continue on its mission to provide
high-performance, cost-effective IT environments and allows the company to meet
a variety of storage needs at a low cost.
“Redapt has a great track record spanning over two decades of delivering
its customers with reliable, vendor-agnostic solutions that address the
requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s data center,” said Jeff Olson,
senior director of channel sales at Gluster. “Gluster is dedicated to creating storage solutions that deliver the
flexibility and scalability while also keeping budgets in mind. We are pleased
to be partnering with them to expand their product offerings and look forward
to providing their customers with our innovative storage technology.“
