Active Storage Solution for Media Workflow

Can be used with Adobe Premiere Pro.

Active Storage, Inc. announced that Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 software users can now take full advantage of ActiveSAN and ActiveRAID storage solutions.

Active Storage showcased this solution at the IBC2011 conference.

"Active Storage powers the collaborative media workflow infrastructure for the most recognized post and broadcast brands in the world," said Alex Grossman, founder and president of Active Storage. "Requests for optimized support on Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 have been increasing significantly. Today we are proud to announce that we can offer the improved performance and user experience for Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 users on ActiveSAN and ActiveRAID."

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 users can now take advantage of high throughput, shared storage workflow without dealing with complex setups and configuration or worries about compatibility. Users can work with file-level collaboration in a mixed-platform, media-optimized shared environment from ingest to edit, finish and playout, unlocking productivity and eliminating islands of storage and disconnected users. Workgroups can scale from a few users to hundreds, with predictable performance and utmost reliability.

"Active Storage solutions are a powerful way for Adobe Premiere Pro users to share files and collaborate across a video-optimized workflow," said Bill Roberts, director of professional video and audio product management at Adobe. "Customers can leverage Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Adobe Photoshop, within evolving media and broadcast workflows."

ActiveSAN and ActiveRAID, combined with Active’s administration and monitoring tools, allow Adobe users to unlock workflow productivity by allowing users to see, share and build assets across a video-optimized and robust SAN, freely allowing Mac and Windows users to collaborate with their choice of media tools.
