The panels further round out a roster of networking opportunities, keynote addresses and presentations from prominent leaders and visionaries from the storage, networking, virtualization and cloud computing industries.

So Much SSD and So Little Time brings together leading SSD vendors to review the various ‘flavors’ of SSD and how each technology benefits cloud and virtualized environments. The panel is moderated by Alan Niebel and Walker Blount from Web-Feet Research and takes place at 10:15 p.m. on September 15.

Participating in the panel are:

  • Nimbus Data, Tom Isakovich, CEO
  • Whiptail Technologies, Dan Crain, CEO
  • Solidfire, Dave Wright, CEO
  • Xio, Alan Atkinson, CEO
  • DATARAM, Jason Caulkins, CTO
  • Pure Storage, Scott Dietzen, CEO

Moderated by W. Curtis Preston of TruthInIT, Data Protection for Cloud and Virtualized Environments will shine light on the various technologies available to help companies protect their data in today’s changing marketplace. A group of leading vendors will discuss the roles their respective technologies play and how they see their technologies adapting to customer realities. The one-hour panel starts at 9 a.m. September 16.

Participating in the panel are:

  • Symantec, Dave Elliott, Global Cloud Marketing
  • BridgeSTOR, John Matze, CEO
  • Arkeia, Bill Evans, CEO
  • Bocada, Nancy Hurley, CEO
  • NovaStor, Mike Andrews, Managing Director

"Walker and I are excited to be leading the discussion on the various implementations of SSDs, which is one of the hottest technologies on the market today," said Niebel. "An event like the ExecEvent is the perfect venue to bring together leading storage providers and hear their opinions on the best strategies for implementing storage and performance solutions for the cloud and virtualized environments. I look forward to some lively discussions and expect the audience to leave better informed about the nuances of how each company addresses different aspects of storage and performance in enterprise environments."

"My panel will attempt to get to the truth in how various cloud and virtualization technologies play in real-world situations to help customers make informed decisions on what will be best for their particular environment," said Preston. "While the focus remains on protecting data, the question emerges as to what the best way to do that is.  What might be right for one might not be right for another.  I look forward to hosting the discussion with these leading vendors to explore the possibilities available."

The ExecEvent is focused on the new technologies with the highest visibility and potential for revenues, including cloud, virtualization, object-based storage and solid state. Additional panels include Virtualization – New Technologies, Cloud Gateways – The Onramp to the Cloud, Object Storage in the Cloud and Disruptive Technologies. In addition to the informative presentations, there is time to meet, share information and form relations with top-level executives over cocktails and dinners.

Registration is now open with a fee of $975 per person. Press member registration is complimentary. The event is limited to 200 people.
