eBackpack, Inc. has added a new enhancement to its secure, cloud-based file storage, file sharing, and file collaboration service that makes it easier for teachers to access and manage files and homework using the iPad.

In addition, students can turn in homework electronically and their teacher can grade, comment and return assignments to the students, all without printing a single piece of paper.

Michael Giordano, a high school English teacher in San Antonio, Texas uses iPads in his English and Creative Writing classes, and said: "eBackpack allows my students to access and save updated versions of their papers on their iPads. I can easily review their work after class, add comments, and the students are able to work with the new file that night or the next day in class. We no longer spend the end of the class printing out the work we did and I don’t have to carry a stack of papers – it has easily given the students 10 more minutes of work time per class."

eBackpack’s iPad utility supports 1:1 learning initiatives and iPad or tablet initiatives in ways no other programs or curricula can.

"Schools are looking for ways to effectively integrate classroom work with new technology including iPads and tablets," said Michael Zilinskas, CEO of eBackpack. "The eBackpack iPad utility gives teachers a way to fit the tablet into their curriculum. It is the ultimate collaborative learning tool that provides safety, power and flexibility."

eBackpack offers varying subscription levels from single-user to district-wide implementations. The iPad utility is integrated seamlessly into the eBackpack user interface.
