SkySQLy Recovery Manager Powered by Zmanda

SkySQL Inc., in affordable MySQL database solutions for the enterprise and cloud, introduced the SkySQL Recovery Manager, a backup and recovery solution for the MySQL database.

Powered by Zmanda, provider of enterprise and cloud-based backup and disaster recovery solutions, this product will be offered as part of the SkySQL Enterprise subscription and will provide easy-to-use, flexible, backup and recovery solutions for MySQL databases.

Under the agreement, SkySQL will also resell snapshot managers for the NetAPP, Veritas, and Clariion file systems, as well as Zmanda professional services and training. The SkySQL Recovery Manager is backed by commercial support from SkySQL and Zmanda.

The SkySQL Recovery Manager is powered by Zmanda’s Z solution, a backup and recovery solution for the MySQL database. This solution allows database administrators to perform flexible backups, backup live MySQL databases without impacting applications and users, perform one-click point-in-time recovery, and more. With this solution, DBAs can maximize data security and proactively manage backup and recovery projects.

AvailabilityThe SkySQL Recovery Manager is available as part of the SkySQL Enterprise Platinum and Unlimited subscriptions. The product is also available as an add-on to SkySQL Enterprise Basic and Silver subscriptions.
