Brad Painter has been named vice president of worldwide channel sales while Scott Brooks will take on the new position of vice president of customer services and sales.
With more than 24 years of industry experience, Brad Painter joins Dot Hill from Pillar Data Systems, recently acquired by Oracle, where he served as vice president of worldwide channel sales. While at Pillar, Painter was responsible for worldwide channel sales and all distribution of Pillar branded products. Before this, Painter was vice president of worldwide sales at Lantronix, a market leader in wired and wireless device networking. Prior to Lantronix, Painter was director of worldwide host bus adaptor sales for Applied Micro Circuits Corporation, a global manufacturer of semiconductor solutions, and held various senior sales management positions at Crossroads Systems, Pinacor, Exabyte and Hewlett-Packard.
Dot Hill’s new vice president of customer services and sales, Scott Brooks, has more than 24 years of experience in IT sales and customer services, giving him a unique perspective on both OEM and end customer requirements and priorities. Prior to joining Dot Hill, he held various positions over the past 11 years with LSI’s Engenio Storage Group, recently acquired by NetApp, ranging from international sales to global customer support and services. Brooks also served as Midwest regional sales director for Diebold as well as regional services director for QMS Inc.

In 2010, Dot Hill grew channel revenue 54 percent year-over-year, expanded distribution coverage into France, Germany and Italy and launched the Dot Hill Assured UVS line of unified virtual storage appliances. In 2011 the company was recognized for its Dot Hill Connections Partner Program and was named to CRN‘s 5-Star Partner Programs Guide for the second consecutive year. In addition Dot Hill earned a spot on Everything Channel’s CRN Virtualization 100 list, which highlights the most compelling virtualization solutions and vendors delivering best-in-class products to meet the growing needs of the channel.
