This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 18, 2011 at 2:55 pmScale Computing announced record results for its second quarter, ending June 30, 2011 (Q2’11). Scale Computing’s Q2’11 revenue in the SME market grew 102 percent over Q1’10.
In addition, Scale Computing launched a new partner program that resulted in a 192 percent increase in new partners quarter-over-quarter.
"We launched a new partner program this past quarter to offer resellers, especially those frustrated and disappointed with HP LeftHand, new market opportunities, significant profit margins, strong marketing programs, responsive support and zero conflict with channel partners," said Jeff Ready, CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing. "Our dramatic increase in partners is a direct reflection of that successful program, as well as the demand by SMEs for affordable storage solutions that make virtualization implementations a fiscal reality. The momentum of our 5 -Star partner program [as rated by CRN] coupled with the demand of our scale-out architecture that can match the performance and versatility of the virtual server infrastructure, positions Scale Computing for success throughout the second-half of 2011."
Additional Q2’11 highlights include:
- Over 550 customer installations completed to date
- Thirty percent of Q2 sales came from existing customers
- Customer growth accelerated 237 percent year-over-year
- Increased employee count by 82 percent year-over-year
"The recent upgrades made to Scale’s channel program seem to resonate with current and potential channel partners," said Terri McClure, senior analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. "As virtualization continues to gain popularity, Scale Computing’s unified scale-out storage platform has proven to be a cost-effective, flexible solution for SMEs to upgrade the storage environment. The technology, tools and education that Scale’s channel program offers to partners can ultimately help grow their business and increase revenue."
