Gluster Partners With GoGrid

Gluster, Inc., provider of scale-out, open source storage solutions for private and public clouds, has partnered with GoGrid, a cloud infrastructure company, to provide its scalable NAS cloud storage technology within GoGrid’s cloud infrastructure.

GoGrid customers can use a beta version of Gluster’s software-only storage solutions via the Gluster GoGrid Sever Image, or Gluster GSI.

Thousands of enterprises worldwide use Gluster’s software-only platform to aggregate storage resources in a unified performance, available, standardized, virtualized, and centrally managed pool within one global namespace. The Gluster GSI packages the GlusterFS scale-out NAS file system in a GoGrid Server Image, enabling performance, availability and easily-managed shared storage in the GoGrid cloud infrastructure. The Gluster GSI is the an available scale-out file storage solution for GoGrid supporting asynchronous data replication with Gluster Geo-Replication and synchronous replication with Gluster N-way replication.

The Gluster GSI deploys in minutes on created GoGrid cloud server instances to form a clustered NAS file server within the GoGrid cloud. GoGrid customers now have the ability to deploy scale-out NAS cloud storage to petabytes of capacity that is POSIX compliant and requires no application program modifications for its use.
