The OVM is an optical library management application available with a modern and intuitive interface.
This software product provides volume management tools which support an array of enterprise library systems.
The OVM includes features in the standard offering that are traditionally charged extra. Folder Spanning, Drive Letter Access, System Tray Notifications, Advanced Unified Search, Read & Write cache, Data Replication and a script based API are included in the base version. This software application is priced based on the size of the optical library and ranges from approximately $2,225 to $12,000.
The Optical Volume Manager is a application developed using modern programming technologies and methodologies. This provides for a flexible optical library management application.
The Optical Volume Manager works with all the major optical library manufactures such as DISC, and HIT as well as legacy products such as Plasmon, Pioneer, Sony and HP. Many media technologies are also supported such as MO, UDO, Sony PDD, and CD/DVD/BD.
