Five9 Network Collaborates With Fusion-io

Delivering 2.1 million IO/s and 21TB in 2U appliance

Five9 Network Systems (Five9NS) announced it is collaborating with Fusion-io, Inc. to provide deployment of Fusion ioDrive technology.

The Five9 S series platform integrated with Fusion’s ioDrive, ioDrive Duo and ioDrive Octal products is  available to Five9NS Channels that serve the Telco, Healthcare and Government / Defense Systems markets.

Five9NS Channel Partners can now leverage Five9NS’ systems to pursue new interactive, networked applications demanding performance in a minimized footprint – up to 20TB non-volatile ioMemory appliance that delivers 2.1M+ IOPS in a slim space saving 2U rack mount package.

The Five9NS S series platforms are available in either a 2U or 4U chassis with mixed choice of Fusion’s ioDrive, ioDrive Duo and ioDrive Octal. Five9NS configurations are available as standard or customized in collaboration with Five9NS Engineering provided at no cost to qualified Channel Partners.

Five9NS has worked with Fusion-io to offer the Five9NS S series to meet the enterprise requirements of the OEM / VAR and ISV community.

The new platform offers new building block
for data center applications that offers:

  • 100 times the density of traditional RAM
  • Reduces physical and thermal limitations of traditional storage media
  • High memory scalability accelerating data intensive applications performance while diminishing the impact of the most demanding workloads

Further enabling
the new era of memory-based computing by supporting:

  • Increased data center efficiency with an average 15:1 server consolidation ratio
  • Reduced operational cost by reducing expensive legacy storage infrastructure
  • Reduced power and cooling expenses

"Fusion-io is pleased to work with strategic Alliance Members like Five9 to offer customers appliances that can be tailored to suit the needs of their individual organizations, while at the same time increasing the reliability and efficiency of their IT infrastructure," said Jim Dawson, EVP Sales for Fusion-io. "We believe that the high-performance, low latency "S" series systems bring flexibility, scalability and reduced capital and operational expenditures to enterprise organizations to meet increasingly demanding needs, while working within their IT budgets."
