Don Shimizu VP Ops, Active Storage
With more than 20 years driving start-ups

Active Storage, Inc. announced that Donald Shimizu has been named Vice
President of Operations.
Shimizu
has an extensive operations background, with more than 20 years of experience
driving startup and high-growth tech-related businesses. He has specialized in building and managing
high-performance teams including operations, product development, support,
technical sales and large-scale implementation programs.
"Don is simply a guy who gets things done, at the
highest levels," said Active Storage’s recently named CEO Steve Rizzone.
"We are lucky to have him – Don’s experience in building large, scalable
and highly effective operations teams and systems will be incredibly valuable
to Active’s next growth phase."
Most recently COO of Carttronics, LLC, a manufacturer of wireless loss prevention solutions for retailers, Shimizu was
responsible for all areas of the company’s operations including manufacturing,
customer service, research and development, installations and administration.

point in the company’s history. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with CEO
Steve Rizzone in a previous venture that was incredibly successful, and I look
forward to doing the same at Active Storage."
Shimizu
previously held executive, management and technical leadership positions at IP3
Networks, SupplyPro Inc., Corsair Communications, Applied Digital Access and
Fujitsu Microelectronics.
Shimizu received a BSEE from California State
University at Fullerton.
