Stephen Ball Head of UK, Ireland and South Africa, HDS

Hitachi Data Systems announced the appointment of Stephen Ball to the post of Vice President and General Manager of UK, Ireland and South Africa. He will report to Niels Svenningsen, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Hitachi Data Systems EMEA.
 
 Ball joins Hitachi Data Systems from Orange Business Services where he was Sales Director for the global network provider. His 24-year career in ICT has also included 11 years at Computacenter and senior positions at KPN Getronics and EMC.

"Customers today are demanding that their data generates real value for the business and we plan to meet this need by extending Hitachi Data Systems’ footprint in the file and content space."
 
Expanding further, Ball said: "The services business has also become more important to our customers and partners. I am confident that my experience in outsourcing and services will help us to further develop in this area."
