Single SandForce Driven SSDs Adopted by Kingston

SandForce Inc. announced that single SSDs based on the SF-2000 SSD Processor and 25nm MLC flash memory achieve the highest possible Microsoft Windows Experience Index (WEI) score of 7.9 for the disk data transfer rate.

Microsoft provides the WEI to enable end users to identify their system’s capabilities when considering running high-performance applications. Today a single SF-2000-based SandForce Driven SSD eliminates storage access bottlenecks and future-proofs the system for optimally running current and next generation, data throughput-intensive applications.

The SF-2000 processors feature a 6 Gb/s SATA host interface, a sustained sequential read/write performance of up to 500 MB/s, DuraClass Technology, and high-speed ONFi2 and Toggle flash interfaces supporting SLC and MLC NAND flash families from all major suppliers.

Nine SandForce Driven program members were displaying their latest SF-2000 SSD Processor-based drives at the Computex tradeshow and exhibition in Taipei, Taiwan, this week, including Kingston Technology, which became the 30th program member. Other SandForce Driven program members demonstrating SF-2000-based solutions at Computex include ADATA, G Skill, OCZ, Patriot Memory, Silicon Power, Super Talent, TeamGroup, and Trend Link.

Eurocom, the first system level manufacturer to join the SandForce Driven program, produces desktop replacement mobile server and workstation computing solutions, with many configurations offering up to four SandForce Driven SSDs, providing overall performance. Their solutions demand the highest possible storage I/O and throughput available on the market today.
