CRU-DataPort DriveBoxes (Starting at $5.50)

Protecting bare drives is imperative while storing and transporting digital data. CRU-DataPort has redesigned and improved its anti-static drive case for bare 3.5" hard drives and 2.5" notebook drives.

DriveBoxes add minimal height to a drive making them more compact to steadily store on a shelf and archive data or access files. CRU’s RAX and RTX series hard drive enclosures are designed with TrayFree bays with removable drives. DriveBoxes are for storing hard drives when swapping out RAID sets.

The cases are made with textured anti-static plastic for better grip. DriveBoxes have a label area for identification and ship with blank labels or custom printed labels. These easy-to-open protective cases allow ready access to the drive, but snap shut as to not inadvertently open during transport.

The 2.5" drive cases feature top-side access to the SATA or IDE pins. While not meant to serve as a permanent enclosure, DriveBoxes protect the drive circuitry when accessing a few files with a cable. The 2.5" cases also come with inside-mounted rubber feet to ensure a secure and snug fit. The 3.5" drive cases have a foam insert option to hold ToughTech Duo RAID storage system removable trays. DriveBoxes may be ordered with hard drives already tested and formatted to OS preference.
