HP and Violin Demo Dual Socket TPC-E Benchmark Result

Violin Memory, Inc. has achieved a world record TPC-E1 benchmark for a dual socket server in partnership with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and HP’s latest Proliant DL380 G7 offering. This TPC-E1 world record follows the HP blade server record posted last June, further substantiating the industry craze over flash Memory Arrays.

The TPC-E1 benchmark simulates the workload of a brokerage firm’s central database, demanding both low latencies and fast response times. It is utilized by vendors to demonstrate system solutions for realistic and representative workloads commonly addressed by large OLTP database systems.
