By Proact/B2net with NetApp
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 25, 2011 at 2:46 pmIn April the storage specialist Proact acquired B2net. Since then the company have closed several customer deals on the British market.
B2net have recently secured a Data management infrastructure refresh project with Coventry City Council.
The UK Council was experiencing challenges with managing an aged, disparate storage and backup infrastructure and required a platform that could meet their needs to reduce the cost of IT delivery whilst also enabling the council to achieve their long term strategic goals.
B2net’s proposed solution was based on technology from NetApp with the design offering unrivalled cost savings, scope for future growth, flexibility and has the capacity for future requirements and multiple replication options as well as class leading whole life costs. The aim of the Council was to obtain a solution from a single supplier with a single point of contact for the support of the whole solution for 5 years with an option to extend this support and maintenance contract to 7 years.
"Our UK operations are continuing to successfully grow with a 21% increase quarter on quarter. There have been a significant number of new projects that have contributed to this success with the Coventry City Council project being a key win," says Olof Sand, CEO of Proact.
"We continue to show a fantastic rate of growth in the UK, year on year we’ve grown by more than 31% which is a great achievement in these challenging economic conditions. Now as part of the Proact family we expect this growth to continue to accelerate given the strength of the combined organisation. Recent contract wins such as Coventry City Council are extremely important to B2net, they demonstrate our customer’s confidence in our expertise and capabilities in helping them deliver and transform their IT services. These wins highlight that our flexible and agile solutions work across all sectors equally effectively, and are a great example of how we work with customers as their business continue to grow and change. Our customers have been tremendously supportive of the Proact acquisition, and are as excited as we are about the synergies that the integration of the UK’s leading storage integrator and Europe’s leading storage integrator will bring," says Jason Clark CEO of B2net UK.
