Shai Cohen COO, Mellanox

This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 23, 2011 at 3:17 pmMellanox Technologies, Ltd. announced the promotion of Shai Cohen to chief operating officer (COO). Mr. Cohen will be reporting to Eyal Waldman, chairman, president and CEO.
Shai Cohen is a co-founder of Mellanox and served as Mellanox’s vice president of operations and engineering since June 1999. In his new role, Mr. Cohen will oversee all internal operations, the production of Mellanox’s suite of InfiniBand and Ethernet hardware and software solutions, and assist with the company’s research and development.
"Since the inception of Mellanox, Shai’s oversight and direction of Mellanox’s product development strategy has been instrumental to the success of the company," said Eyal Waldman, chairman, president and CEO of Mellanox Technologies. "In preparation for the company’s revenues to continue growing, I am pleased to promote Shai Cohen to COO and look forward to his continued contribution and coordination of our talented staff and production units."
Prior to Mellanox, Mr. Cohen worked at Intel Corporation from 1989 to 1999, where he was a senior staff member in the Pentium processors department and a circuit design manager at the cache controllers group.
Mr. Cohen holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
