Cintas DVX is an online system that backs up databases, operating systems and corporate email systems. It recovers data if deleted or corrupted and can save files for a fixed amount of time to comply with a business’ retention policy. This provides businesses with data security and compliance 24/7.
"Cintas DVX saves businesses time and money. It also eliminates human error of saving files, thus ensuring files can be recovered when core documents are accidentally deleted, hard drives crash or there is a natural disaster," said Mike Kosegi, Sr. Director of Technology, Cintas. "For comparison, Cintas DVX is more secure and has lower operational costs than the traditional tape backup process."
Linda Fangman and Associates, LLC, a medical billing company that specializes in mental health, uses Cintas DVX to backup its confidential patient information. The company originally signed up for a free trial, but has since signed on to use Cintas DVX as its permanent backup solution.
"Cintas DVX provides us with an easy-to-use, safe and secure backup solution that meets HIPAA requirements for encryption," said Jessica Dennis, Mental Health Billing and Office Support Specialist for Linda Fangman and Associates. "Most importantly, it gives us the peace of mind that our data will remain secure no matter what."
With no IT intervention, Cintas DVX provides a layer of data protection and security, and can help ensure a business will continue to operate even if data has been lost, damaged or stolen. It features 256-bit AES encryption that is equivalent to the U.S. government’s standard for classified information. Setup takes a few minutes and backups are automated with email notifications of every event. The solution is also flexible, providing customers with instant access to all versions of saved files via a web-enabled computer. DVX performs scheduled backups that can range from every minute to monthly, and has a retention period ranging from 7 days to 7 years.
"Sixty percent of companies that lose their data are out of business within six months," said Jamie Samide, Director of Marketing, Emerging Businesses, Cintas. "Regardless of a natural disaster, hard drive crash or employee mistake, Cintas DVX securely protects files on a continuous basis to eliminate data risk. Our state-of-the-art technology provides users with the peace of mind that their important information is protected regardless of unfortunate circumstances."
