Jackrabbit.com Introduces Small Business Backup Packages

Jackrabbit Microware has introduced two small business data backup and recovery solutions on its website.

They are all-inclusive and are shipped pre-configured and personalized for use after some on-site installation by the customer.

These packages are complete solutions:

• The hardware platform is comprised of a high-speed Netgear 2-bay NAS box containing two 2TB Seagate hard drives, which are configured for RAID redundancy;
• a Netgear gigabit switch for high-speed connection to an existing network;
• a CyberPower uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to protect the backup system from negative power events; and
• an external Seagate USB hard drive that will contain a redundant off-site copy of the backup files.

The software platform is Symantec System Recovery 2011 software that is based on disk imaging technology; it automatically records an image, or snapshot, of the entire contents of a computer’s hard drive. Subsequent restoration of the entire drive or a single file from that backup image is equally as simple and reliable.

Packages for Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 stations ($1,199), Microsoft Windows Small Business Server ($1,949), and Microsoft Windows Server ($2,199) are available.
