T8 SAS DAS System by Facilis

Facilis Technology, Inc. announced the addition of a new SAS-attached storage solution, the T8.

The T8 features dual-channel 3Gbit connectivity and leverages the performance of the ATTO Technology, Inc.‘s ExpressSAS R380 Host Bus Adapter. As direct-attached storage, the T8 is qualified for multi-stream HD or 2K DPX applications. The T8 will also serve as expansion and supplemental storage for the TerraBlock product line, Facilis’ industry-leading turnkey SAN solution.

ATTO’s ExpressSAS R380 adapter controls the RAID feature set and provides up to 50 percent faster drive rebuilds than industry standard hardware RAID controllers; the T8 has out-of-the-box support for Windows, Linux, Mac.
