Thecus and Netavis Cooperate on IP Video Surveillance

Thecus Technology Corp. announced a strategic partnership with NETAVIS Software, a maker of server-based IP video surveillance software.

Through this partnership, NETAVIS technology will be included with Thecus’ upcoming NVR devices to give users robust IP surveillance solutions. This marriage of two solutions was a step towards creating the first line of Thecus NVR.

NETAVIS Software is a pioneer in server-based IP video surveillance. Based in Austria, NETAVIS services customers all across Europe and the Middle East with software solutions. With thousands of installations, many customers in retail, government, banking, transportation and industry rely on NETAVIS software.

One such company is Telekom Austria Group, the largest telecommunications company in Austria. With thousands of cameras in operation, Telekom Austria required a solution that could not only handle operations of this scale, but also have the possibility to run it from a highly available data center. For their special requirements, they turned to NETAVIS, and through them, obtained a package which featured a professional, open, and distributed video surveillance software. Other firms, including such giants as the Vienna Railroads Corporation and the Benetton Megastore, also rely on NETAVIS solutions to keep their businesses running smoothly.

With this partnership, NETAVIS software will be offered with Thecus’ NVR devices to provide users with a professional and fully-featured IP surveillance solution. Additionally, Thecus will obtain distribution rights for NETAVIS software in countries outside of Europe with the aim to promote NETAVIS and Thecus Technology around the world.
