Lightworks and Lightworks Open Source
EditShare demonstrated both the commercial Lightworks editor, featuring stereoscopic 3D capabilities that are currently used on Scorsese’s 3D film, Hugo Cabret, as well as the phase one release from the Lightworks Open Source initiative.
Lightworks Open Source is a large-scale, open source development initiative for a non-linear editing (NLE) platform. A departure from standard third-party developer programs that limit access, Lightworks Open Source offers a gateway into the NLE’s core engine, enabling a range of creative developers to implement forward-thinking features and workflows.

Production Asset Manahement
EditShare Flow
Flow offers media management capabilities for tracking assets across the production chain. Features such as Edit-While-Capture and Bandwidth-Controlled File-Based Ingest add a level of control over productions that set Flow apart from its peers. Rapid production tools, such as Flow Templates, Projects and Bins enable users to begin the pre-editing process during ingest. The patent pending EditShare Universal File Technology gives users the space efficiency and convenience of single-format editing without sacrificing metadata tracking across the workflow.

Archiving and Media Protection: Ark
Developed on the same architecture as the shared storage solutions, EditShare Ark offers media protection for broadcast and post, providing hard-disk and tape-based options for backup and archiving. Advancements include a new partial file restoration capability that supports virtually any codec. This new partial restoration feature lets Ark users move only a portion of their media file, whether it be 20 seconds of a 10-hour piece or several sections within the file.
