Unknown Start-Up Named Zadara Storage
Few information about it
By Jean Jacques Maleval | April 4, 2011 at 3:15 pmIt’s rare to get so few information on a start-up. All we got here come from the profile of three people from Zadara Storage on Linkedin.
Apparently in storage software system for cloud computing environment and born in February 2011, Zadara Storage seems to be located in Orange County, CA and in Haifa, Israel. It has currently no web site, being in stealth mode.
Among its executives, there are two co-founders, Nelson Nahum and Yoav Ossia, both of them coming from LSI.
CTO Nelson Nahum was VP engineering software and solutions at LSI and is mainly known as co-founder and CTO of StoreAge Networking Technologies, an Israeli start-up in SAN management and out-of-band virtualization acquired by LSI for $50 million in 2006. Before that he was software engineer manager at IIS Ltd, the parent company of StoreAge. Here are three Nahum’s patents that could give an idea in which fields Zadara could be involved:
- Storage virtualization in a storage area network
- Storage area network security
- Asynchronous mirroring in a storage area network
Yoav Issia, software engineer of the start-up, was also formerly at LSI as principal software engineer after working at IBM Haifa Research Lab and VMLabs.
Zadara’s chairman Robi Hartman was chairman and CEO of IIS as well as chairman of StoreAge.
