"GreenBytes offers cost-effective performance and the reliability that Goeke’s customers require," said Eric Bertamini, Manager, IT and Services, Goeke. "The close integration with Symantec via OST makes GreenBytes a very attractive solution for Goeke’s customers. Inline deduplication is the cost saving factor, beneficial for backup and virtualization. Additionally, GreenBytes is VMware certified for iSCSI and NFS, which is important for server and desktop virtualization/VDI. The future-proof technology of GreenBytes is what our customers are looking for."

The joint GreenBytes/Symantec solution offered by Goeke is the first step into a backup and DR strategy and is available to interested customers who are looking for a solution to deal with today’s growing and increasingly complex storage requirements. It will also be part of Goeke’s ‘Cloud Strategy’ offering ‘Backup as a Service’ to interested customers, as well as ‘Desktop as a Service.’ Praxis fur Frauen is the first customer to deploy the joint GreenBytes/Symantec solution, and over twenty additional projects are expected to be completed in the next three months.

Goeke GmbH has, for over 25 years, been a system house with an emphasis on finding the right solution for customers in the areas of document management and IT solutions. As an important partner in the Canon Business Strategy, they have looked at the GreenBytes inline deduplication storage appliances for their backup/DR solutions and found GreenBytes to be the solution partner for their demanding clients.
