Business continuity processes such as backup and replication are often crippled over the Wide Area Network (WAN) leaving most organizations to throw bandwidth at the problem.

HellermannTyton, a global systems manufacturer, instead chose to deploy Certeon Inc.‘s aCelera Sync solution to cut its replication window times from 13 hours to less than one hour. HellermannTyton also found Certeon’s solution to be up to 50 percent less than the cost of competitive solutions, especially hardware-based appliances.

Replicating between 80 GigaBytes to 120 GigaBytes of data per day took HellermannTyton 13 hours prior to installing Certeon’s aCelera Sync solution. After installing aCelera Sync in its data center and recovery site in under 30 minutes, HellermannTyton benefited from a 92 percent decrease in replication time without purchasing additional bandwidth.
