Interactive Ideas Distributor of SEP Backup Software

Interactive Ideas, UK value-added software and technology distributors, has been named as a distributor for SEP software in the UK and Ireland. The agreement further expands Interactive’s portfolio of software for Linux & open source software solutions.   

SEP is in network-wide and cross platform data availability software. To-date, more than 2,000 companies in 50 countries run SEP solutions. SEP sesam supports Linux, Unix, Novell and Microsoft Windows operating systems and provides full-featured backup of virtual environments.

Interactive Ideas will market, resell and support SEP’s Backup and Recovery software to value added resellers (VARS) and system integrators, meeting growing demand for a cross-platform backup solutions.

SEP sesam offers a backup solution for critical enterprise data within heterogeneous client/server environments. In addition to the Linux-based distributions for Univention, SUSE/Novell and Red Hat, SEP sesam also supports Windows, Solaris, OS/2, Netware, OES, AIX and HP-UX.

SEP sesam solutions are certified for SAP R/3 applications and Oracle, MySQL, Informix, Ingres and IBM DB2 databases. Groupware support includes Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Novell Groupwise, Open-Xchange, Scalix Server and Zarafa. Integration of disaster-recovery features SEP sesam BSR (bare system recovery) into the administration console of SEP sesam now provides full system recovery – operating system, applications and data – after hardware failure on new hardware.
