MiMedia Incorporates Social Media Integration

Lets users share directly to Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.

MiMedia Inc. announced a new edition of its MiMedia platform, the cloud-based personal media and online backup service.

The new edition integrates with 16 of the most popular social networks, allowing users to publish and share their digital photos, videos and other files directly across Facebook, Twitter, Google, Digg, LinkedIn, Reddit and more. MiMedia pairs online video storage, online photo sharing, and the ability to backup music with access to and control of digital media. Its newest iteration extends those cloud-based benefits across all major social networks.

With the new version of MiMedia, users can upload stored photos and videos directly to Facebook via the MiMedia Online portal. Any photos or videos stored on a user’s portal can be added to new or existing Facebook albums, with the option of posting these photos directly to the user profile.

"Social networking dominates the time many people spend online, so integrating these platforms into MiMedia was the obvious next step to creating an optimal user experience," said Erik Zamkoff, CEO of MiMedia. "MiMedia has always been about much more than just storage and backup. It’s about access, sharing and enjoyment."

In addition to pushing photos and videos directly to Facebook, this new functionality will give users the ability to share into the newsfeeds of other social networks, linking back to MiMedia sharing pages rather than uploading or transferring the files.

Annual subscriptions to MiMedia start at $49 and include a one-month free trial. Monthly subscriptions are also available.
