Avnet VAD for Oracle in Middle East and North Africa

Avnet will distribute the wide range of Oracle Applications, Hardware and Technology products in all the countries of MENA region – KSA, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.
Hani Barakat, Senior Director Oracle Business MENA, Avnet Technology Solutions Middle East, said: "The appointment of Avnet as a VAD for the Middle East and North Africa region is the result of Oracle execution on its global channel strategy to transact through VADs across the globe. Avnet is the only global VAD, operating in MENA region which puts Avnet ahead of any other VAD to take a bigger role in MENA region and maybe in an extended region."
Avnet is bringing in the tested partner programs to the region. PartneRing, Marketing Programs, Accelerated Activation, and Product Plus One are examples of the programs that Avnet is going to introduce to the region. PartneRing is an Avnet sponsored partner eco-system – mechanism for partners from different partner communities to work together on joint solutions. Marketing programs is Avnet Communications and initiatives to drive awareness and interest in Oracle products into the reseller community. Accelerated Activation is Avnet combined enablement and demand generation initiative to stimulate partner product adoption. Product Plus One is an Avnet product enablement events designed to promote partner awareness of Oracle products complementary to existing core skills.
Avnet will also establish a technology demonstration facility (branded as The Resource) in multiple locations of the MENA region to serve partners and their customers. Executive briefings, technology demonstrations, proof-of-concept, and benchmarking are examples of the services we will be offering out of The Resource.
Avnet will be offering its partners a financial solutions which are flexible enough to meet their own requirements and match their financial capabilities.
Avnet in the MENA region will lead a way for penetration of Oracle’s applications, hardware and technology products within the Oracle channel. Avnet is investing in enhancing its resources for Oracle products and solutions by creating a team of highly specialized professionals in field of technology, sales, pre-sales, inside sales, marketing, and channel skills.
Avnet also intends to roll out channel initiatives programs to target resellers. These initiatives will focus on recruiting new partners, reactivating some of the existing partners, up-selling Oracle Hardware into Oracle Software accounts.
