OS33 Extends Cloud-Based IT Infrastructure Capabilities
With grid
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 25, 2011 at 3:03 pmOS33 announced the OS33 Grid, an Infrastructure as a Service offering designed to provide MSPs using the OS33 platform with a branded cloud infrastructure that features better performance, improved flexibility and simplified management at an affordable cost.
The OS33 Grid is optimized to work specifically with the OS33 Platform, which eliminates the need for MSPs to utilize resources from disparate cloud service providers but instead empowers them to go to market with an integrated solution from a single provider. OS33 Grid has been built to stand up to the most demanding performance, reliability, and security requirements and is available from 4 geo-dispersed datacenters across the United States providing MSPs with national geographic coverage and a number of DR options.
"Until now, there hasn’t been a fully integrated solution that provides MSPs with everything they need to offer cloud-based hosted IT to their customers," said Jacob Kazakevich, OS33 President. "With the addition of OS33 Grid, our MSPs partners will now be able to tap into the unlimited supply of premium cloud-based infrastructure optimized for their needs and backed up by OS33 SLAs. We wanted to make sure every component of our IaaS offering was top notch. Thankfully, our investors shared our vision and provided us with the necessary resources to only utilize top of the line server, storage, networking, virtualization, and backup technologies."
OS33 is backed by Technology Capital Investors which is an investment group that focuses on cloud computing and IT services companies and also manages and invests in a diverse portfolio of MSPs.
"TCI companies are constantly benefitting from synergies between the family of investments. A great example has been how OS33 was able to leverage the Infrastructure and Hosting expertise of Jim Avazpour and his organization to build out and manage the new OS33 Grid offering," says Sam Attias, Managing Partner of TCI. "OS33 has truly benefitted from its relationship with the other MSPs in the TCI portfolio of companies."
Jim Avazpour, president and CEO of Avazpour Networking Services, a Kansas City based MSP specializing in Managed Infrastructure Services which was recently acquired by TCI, has been instrumental in building the OS33 Grid. Effective January 1st 2011, Avazpour assumed the role of president of OS33’s Infrastructure Division responsible for all aspects of deploying and managing the company’s IaaS platform used by MSP partners.
"The OS33 Grid ensures that MSPs will never again have to worry about assembling and maintaining an infrastructure critical for the success of their businesses but rather allows them to instead concentrate on providing the best service to their clients," said Avazpour. "Coming from a service provider background myself, I understand what kind of environment MSPs are looking for and need. We’ve addressed the need for flexibility in offering the latest technologies, answered important security concerns and have satisfied backend performance SLAs of the infrastructure that current cloud providers cannot offer. Quite frankly, what we are offering is a cut above the rest."
Among the abilities
that the OS33 Grid offers to partners are:
- Flexibility – MSPs now have the opportunity to better manage their own virtual environments with an emphasis on the service they provide rather than the technology they offer
- Higher Security – integrated measures are incorporated above and beyond industry standards to ensure that data is protected and fully recoverable
- Backend Performance – Ensures that infrastructure on the network and storage layers, typically unseen by the client, does not cause slowness to performance of front-end CPU and RAM
OS33’s managed services software platform, allows providers to provision and deliver hosted IT solutions to thousands of end users, transforming raw computing resources from the OS33 cloud or the MSP’s own private infrastructure into business-ready Web and Windows applications and desktop hosting for their customers. MSPs can add new clients in five minutes or less and provision them with hosted business applications from a catalog of software and third-party SaaS offerings, along with integrated collaboration tools. Utilization of OS33 tracking, billing and chargeback, ticketing and reporting ensures that the OS33 MSP partnership is profitable and makes good business sense.
