Charles Pope Board’s Director, LSI
Former CFO at Seagate from 1999 to 2008
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 9, 2011 at 3:13 pmLSI Corporation announced that Charles C. Pope has been elected to its Board of Directors, effective February 7, 2011. Mr. Pope is the former Executive Vice President and CFO of Seagate Technology.

"The extensive financial experience and industry insight that Charles brings will help guide us as we continue to focus on global opportunities in the storage and networking areas."
During his 25-year career with Seagate, Mr. Pope held increasingly responsible positions in a variety of financial and general management roles and served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1999 to 2008. As CFO, he was responsible for leading the privatization and initial public offering of the company in 2000 and 2002 respectively, as well as its acquisition of Maxtor in 2006.
LSI also announced that director Matthew O’Rourke has notified the board that he will not stand for re-election at the 2011 annual meeting of stockholders. Mr. O’Rourke has served on the board since 1999.
