This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 3, 2011 at 2:42 pmAgilysys, Inc., provider of IT solutions, announced the addition of IBM Storwize V7000 to its storage portfolio, a midrange disk system designed for ease of use and rapid deployment, without additional resources.
Lou Sciacchetano, Agilysys’ vice president, Sales, commented: "The Storwize V7000 is another innovative solution from IBM’s long pedigree of storage products, unique in the industry for its ability to compress primary data in real-time while maintaining performance. Our customers are excited, and early benchmark results are exceptional. I am confident the adoption rate for the SV7000 will exceed all previous IBM storage offerings."
IBM Storwize V7000 can assist small and midsize organizations challenged by productivity constraints and cost overruns. "The integration of proven enterprise technology into the SV7000 midrange storage array will be a dramatic advantage to our customers. The management simplicity created by the enhanced GUI will enable quick deployment of storage in today’s fast-paced environment," added Michael Schroll, Agilysys senior solution architect.
These enhancements to Agilysys’ portfolio are designed to provide its clients with a consolidated storage solution that can also:
- maintain large amounts of data without increasing storage footprint and costs;
- improve decision-making by scanning sizeable amounts of historical data from multiple sources without adding storage equipment;
- enable non-disruptive migration of data from existing storage, thereby simplifying implementation and minimizing disruption to users; and
- allow the virtualization and reuse of existing disk systems, which supports greater potential return on investment.
The IBM Storwize V7000 will be featured in on-site, as well as remote demonstrations and proof-of-concept implementations at the Agilysys Business Partner Innovation Center located in New York City, NY.
