This new version (v2.0) brings several new features to its Online Backup software. These features include file sharing in the cloud, Internet folder synchronization, and remote file access capabilities.
Launched in 2008, SecurityCoverage Online Backup provides easy, automatic, and secure backup of important data – the things that really matter. Customers simply install it, choose what to backup, and forget it. Online Backup does the rest. Customers never have to worry again about accidental deletion of files, hard drive failures, lost data from computer theft, or data corruption from virus and spyware threats.
There are multiple benefits to protecting files with Online Backup, but with v2.0, there is more than just file protection:
- File Sharing in the Cloud – Users are now able to invite friends, family members, or anyone else to safely view and share their files online – by sending an e-mail with no software download or registration required.
- Internet Folder Synchronization – Transferring data from one computer to another is now streamlined with Online Backup’s Internet Folder, known as ‘iFolder’. iFolder allows users to utilize one folder on their desktop or shared folder location to store, access and edit their files on any computer Online Backup is installed on. The files are synchronized using cloud computing technology across all installations giving you immediate access to the files you use most.
- Remote File Access – Need a file, but not near your computer? With Online Backup v2.0, users can securely access all their files and folders from any Internet-connected computer.
