VirtualSharp Partners With S3
To distribute ReliableDR throughout UK
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on January 28, 2011 at 3:00 pmVirtualSharp Software has partnered with Solid State Solutions (S3), a value added integrator of data storage and storage management systems. According to the agreement S3 will market VirtualSharp’s ReliableDR across the UK.
"We chose S3 because its technical ability and intricate knowledge of the local market are key factors in bringing a new solution to the UK," said Carlos Escapa, VirtualSharp’s CEO and former senior regional director for Southern Europe at VMware. "With over 20 years’ experience in storage-centric solutions and a consultative approach to customer engagement we feel that S3 is ideally placed to drive the adoption of this new paradigm in disaster recovery."
ReliableDR is appropriate for virtual server deployments that require granular and frequent DR tests at an IT service level, and is relevant to organisations that are regulated by external legislation or internal policies, or those with stringent compliance requirements. Unique to ReliableDR is the ability to remove the risk, guesswork and unpredictability from today’s recovery processes by implementing policy-based and enforceable Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and measurable and predictable Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
"S3 is always looking to bring innovative and breakthrough technologies to market, and our customers demand that we keep ahead of the mainstream," commented Gurdip Kalley, S3’s Head of Business Development. "Server virtualisation has given birth to a whole string of specialised DR and BC solutions of which we believe VirtualSharp is uniquely placed to lead the market in automated DR testing. VirtualSharp has a strong and enviable customer base including major finance sector corporations and this serves as a great foundation for further expansion in the UK".
VirtualSharp launched its UK operations and established its Northern European headquarters in Maidenhead in September as part of its European expansion plans.
