Point of Sale Systems With SSDs

Advanced Retail Technologies Limited, an EPoS and supply chain software developer, have been working with hardware suppliers Box Technologies Ltd to ensure that the hardware they use is as reliable as their software.

The company has recently been focusing on the hardware element of their solution to ensure that they can supply and support the best hardware available.

Buck went on to say: "We have been following the development of solid state disk drives (SSD) for some time and we are now confident that the technology is mature enough to integrate with our EPOS systems. The advantages of SSDs are that they draw very little power and don’t generate heat and better still, they have no moving parts, so there is little to go wrong. We realised EPoS equipment with SSDs would be more reliable and cost effective so we talked to Box Technologies with whom we have a long working relationship and we are now able to provide equipment which fully fits our philosophy of simplicity, quality and innovation."
