This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 22, 2010 at 3:13 pmXiotech Corporation announced the expansion of its India business operations and channel partner program, and an increased investment in its facility in Hyderabad, India.
The partner development and engineering center will help the company maximize opportunities in the growing South Asian enterprise market and drive increased adoption worldwide of its ISE storage blades. The center also will play a key role in continued development of ISE innovations, particularly in enabling virtualization and cloud services for emerging markets.
Establishing a channel and systems integration network in South Asia – and specifically India – is an important milestone in Xiotech’s growth plans. The region holds a wealth of skilled talent, and Xiotech’s team has already contributed significantly in the development of recent key ISE capabilities.
Additionally, with power a paramount concern, rapidly growing enterprises in the region are in need of efficient storage innovations to help them manage explosive data growth, while supporting more cost-effective and flexible delivery models. Xiotech is addressing those demands by delivering cost- and power-efficient, high-performance, scalable and reliable storage blades to help organizations take advantage of emerging market trends like virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI).
"Xiotech’s Hyderabad Center has already established itself as an international epicenter for development behind some of the company’s latest breakthroughs," said Alan Atkinson, president and CEO of Xiotech. "Expanding our presence with added sales partners, marketing and services will help us better serve existing and future customers; reinforce our commitment to India and the South Asian region; and support our aggressive global growth. Under the leadership of India Country Manager Narasimha Rao, I’m confident that we will execute on all facets of that strategy and build a world-class sales and channel organization."
"Xiotech recognizes that storage virtualization and VDI are widely accepted as key technology differentiators for the verticals of Indian IT Services, Telecom and Financial Services," said Narasimha Rao. "As experts in these emerging areas, we are actively engaging various enterprises and empowering selective channel partners to help us address the growing storage demands of the Indian IT market. We are looking forward to building partnerships with some of the leading systems integrators who have competence in architecting and providing virtualization solutions."
"We are extremely proud of the substantial contributions to the Xiotech intellectual property portfolio that have been made in Hyderabad – including work on the recently announced ISE Manager: vSphere Edition and ISE Manager Virtual View," said Srini Unnava, Managing Director, Xiotech India Development Center. "We look forward to growing our presence in India to help companies, from SMBs to enterprises, utilize their storage resources and fully leverage virtualization and VDI for competitive and business advantage."
