An online backup service
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 20, 2010 at 3:08 pmTikit, European provider of consultancy, software and support services to the legal and accountancy sector, announces TikitSafe, its partnership with Iron Mountain, Inc. for online backup and recovery solutions.
TikitSafe Online Backup and Recovery is a managed service solution that provides online backup, recovery, and electronic vaulting for servers running Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Solaris, or Linux.
You specify what you want to back up and when, and TikitSafe backs up your data over your Internet connection. You can back up data to an off-site location, and optionally to an appliance at your own site for quicker recovery time. TikitSafeAgent software copies the data that changes on your protected system, including open files such as databases and email servers. TikitSafe transmits only the bytes that change in your files and databases to minimise server load and bandwidth usage.
When you need to recover your entire computer or to restore a few files, TikitSafe lets you choose the most recent version, or a historic version using TikitSafe’s Time-Slice Restore technology. You select the files to restore, and then choose from the available dates and times. Should you ever need to perform a disaster recovery, advance preparation will increase your chances of a recovery.
Danny Hoffman, Director at Tikit, said: “TikitSafe provides the undisputed number one choice for online backup and recovery-as-a-service solutions, reducing the risk and costs associated with protecting PC and remote server data by ensuring data is secure, private, available and accessible. Practices of every size trust TikitSafe for their data protection and recovery needs".
