Hamilton Group Mirrors Data to Online Tech’s Center

The Hamilton Group LLC, a financial service firm offering account receivables factoring programs, has partnered with Online Tech, a Midwest data center. With this agreement, Hamilton Group enhances its disaster recovery capabilities by mirroring all transactions to Online Tech’s data center.

As a growing company, Hamilton Group soon realized that their process of storing end-of-the-day tapes offsite would not meet their disaster recovery needs. They needed to look to an offsite data center for data replication.

With headquarters located in Syracuse, New York, the Hamilton Group wanted a colocation provider outside its geographic region. Online Tech, located in Michigan, offers a disaster recovery solution to companies that operate their own data center but desire a secondary data center site for disaster recovery. Online Tech’s has two Michigan data centers located on different power grids that offers high availability power and network solutions with no single point of failure – assuring a very high level of server uptime.

In the event that their headquarters become compromised, Hamilton Group can resume operations from Online Tech’s Tier III data center. The Hamilton Group’s disaster recovery plan consists of replicating every transaction offsite to their colocation servers located at Online Tech’s secure, protected data center.
