Stratus Technologies Extends Partnership With Dot Hill
For 3000 series to be used on ftScalable storage line

With distribution in North and South America, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Japan and Asia Pacific, Stratus is a provider of fault-tolerant computing for organizations with mission-critical applications that must always be protected against downtime and data loss, with solutions based on its ftServer line. Today, Stratus is a solutions provider of uptime assurance in the industry, via its combination of resilient technologies, combined with proactive availability management services.
Since 2006, Stratus Technologies has leveraged 2000 series Dot Hill AssuredSAN based storage platforms as the foundation for its ftScalable storage solution for all Intel processor-based ftServer lines supporting Windows, Linux, VMware, and Stratus’ own VOS operating system. The Dot Hill AssuredSAN product line features a number of innovations that support performance, scalability and redundancy for fault-tolerant computing.
Launched in February 2010, Dot Hill’s next generation 3000 series features support for 8Gb Fibre Channel storage area networks (SANs), dual interface 8Gb Fibre Channel and iSCSI, and enhanced data management capabilities. In addition, the new 3000 series offers increased energy efficiency by supporting automatic drive spin-down technology which, in addition to Dot Hill’s patented EcoStor battery-free alternative for cache memory protection, provides energy cost savings.
