Galaxy NAS DICOM Archive Solution Available From Rorke
Featuring Panasonic ADA technology

Panasonic Advanced Disc for Archive Drive and Media
The Galaxy solution combines HDD technology with Panasonic Industrial Company‘s Advanced Disc for Archive (ADA) drives and encased Blu-ray based media to deliver long-life, high-capacity removable storage. The Rorke Data Galaxy NAS DICOM appliance was featured during RSNA 2010 at the Avnet Technology Solutions exhibition booth and the Rorke Data exhibition booth.

The features of Rorke Data
Galaxy DICOM NAS device include:
- Hot swappable 1TB mirrored hard drives
- Panasonic ADA drives and media, the only media based upon the Blu-ray Disc’ format that is enclosed in a protective case for secure archiving, now available in 25 and 50GB capacities
- Web-based user interface for easy installation and remote access, including data movement, query and retrieval functionality
- DICOM-compliant appliance compatible with multiple modalities and 3.0 viewing workstations
- Affordable, compact desktop solution for local storage in clinics and hospital imaging departments
- An estimated Panasonic ADA media archive life of more than 50 years
