Netgear Partners with Acronis
To help regional businesses cut backup storage and DR times

As part of the agreement, the two companies will collaborate to transform data management in physical, virtual and mixed environments, providing regional businesses storage and back-up solutions at competitive price points. The newly-formed strategic partnership complements NETGEAR’s adoption of a ‘Smart IT’ philosophy offering products that are currently at the peak of their market acceptance, at a reasonable price – giving the company’s ReadyNAS product line an advantage over other storage products in the market today.
The ReadyNAS product line specializes in storage solutions for businesses and medium sized enterprises and includes the ReadyNAS 4200, which has a capacity rate of 24 TB and is compatible with 10 GB Ethernet or fibre. The model also comes with a dual 1 GB outlet that supports unified NAS and SAN architecture, incorporate secure replication utilities and a five year hardware warranty.
Meanwhile, Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 products have been designed to simplify and automate workstation and server backup and recovery processes in Windows and Linux environments and across physical and virtual platforms. The compatibility between the two families of products will allow channel partners to deliver backup, restore and disaster recovery solutions that solve replication, disaster recovery, and individual file restore problems.

Prior to its latest partnership, NETGEA has inked a deal with Network Information Technology (NIT) as its newest value added reseller (VAR) in the Middle East. The company’s efforts to expand its network is in line with its aims to secure worldwide growth by focusing on the SMB sector, which poses positive prospects with increased IT activity and consumer interest.
NETGEARhas also recently unveiled new networking, security and storage solutions, including ReadyNAS 4200, a network storage system with 10Gb Ethernet and iSCSI support, Quad WAN Gigabit SSL VPN Firewall, unmanaged switches, L2 Gigabit POE Switches, and new wireless controller supporting up to 150-APs.
