Using Isilon’s X-Series, WhiteHat has unified its IT infrastructure to manage more than 2,900 websites on a single, shared storage resource, simplifying data management to improve service reliability and efficiency. With Isilon, WhiteHat can now process 10 million HTTP requests per day, accelerating WhiteHat’s ability to eliminate website risk for its growing customer base.
"Our clients depend on us to ensure they have the most current information on their website security posture 24x7x365, so data storage reliability and uptime is very important to our success," said Marc Winner, Director of IT, WhiteHat. "By moving to Isilon, we barely have to manage the system at all and haven’t experienced even a minute of downtime. Now we can focus on continued innovation rather than our storage system."
WhiteHat’s website risk management solutions protect critical data, ensure compliance and narrow the window of risk for hundreds of customers in e-commerce, financial services, information technology and healthcare. Working with Isilon channel partner FusionStorm, WhiteHat deployed Isilon’s X-Series, featuring its OneFS operating system, to eliminate potential downtime and costly management of its previous NAS. With Isilon, WhiteHat has consolidated its entire IT infrastructure on a single file system and point of management, minimizing storage administration, while maximizing service reliability and operational efficiency.
"In today’s web-driven economy, website security is top-of-mind for businesses small and large, which depend on the web for revenue, awareness, customer interaction and more," said Sam Grocott, vice president of marketing, Isilon. "WhiteHat has long been a leader in securing websites to ensure business continuity and success online, helping establish best practices for website risk management. Now, by using Isilon to improve service reliability, WhiteHat is setting best practices for simplifying data management using scale-out storage."
