Tandberg Supplies 1TB RDX Cartridge to Fujitsu

This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on December 2, 2010 at 3:05 pmTandberg Data announced that Fujitsu, a long-time OEM partner of Tandberg Data, will add the 1TB RDX removable disk cartridge to its portfolio of RDX cartridge offerings to be used with the Fujitsu PRIMERGY server platform.
Since 2007, Fujitsu has provided its customers with the RDX technology, a backup system that offers safe, secure and offsite disk-based backup and archiving for small and medium sized businesses. Fujitsu also supplies its customers with RDX cartridges from Tandberg Data ranging in capacity from 160GB to 1TB.

Tandberg Data has shipped more than 200,000 RDX QuikStor drives and more than 600,000 RDX cartridges to most major OEMs, resellers and distributors around the globe. The company recently introduced AccuVault RDX 1TB, a RDX appliance, which includes fixed disk, RDX removable disk and preconfigured deduplication software to provide a data protection solution for the SMB/SME.
