Compellent Expands AsiaPac Channel

By signing Tokyo-based Fusion Systems

To strengthen its Asia Pacific presence, Compellent Technologies has signed Fusion Systems Co. Ltd., a Tokyo-based provider of IT solutions consulting and software, as its newest channel partner.  

Compellent appointed Fusion Systems because of the firm’s knowledge and experience supplying and supporting advanced technology solutions to commercial clients and enterprises throughout the Asia Pacific region.

By aligning its suite of business technology and data management services with Compellent virtualized storage, Fusion Systems provides a customized, technology-agnostic solution that can help businesses significantly lower storage costs, recover from data loss in minutes and ease storage administration. Fusion Systems focuses on servicing multi-national corporations with a presence in the Asian market, including Tyco Electronics.

Fusion Systems will also benefit from Compellent’s all-channel, assisted sales model, which gives an advantage over the competition when it comes to selling to, and servicing, its clients. Unlike other storage vendors, who use resellers for distribution but ultimately compete with them via direct sales, Compellent has no direct sales force and focuses all of its resources on helping partners sell and close deals. Fusion Systems will gain access to Compellent’s secure online partner portal, which features lead registration, quote generation, reports and a host of other online resources.
