IDrive Online Backup Reaches 500,000 Subscribers

Pro Softnet Corporation announced that its IDrive Online Backup subscriber base has exceeded 500,000 users.

IDrive, along with IBackup, a sister service from Pro Softnet, is a consumer focused online backup service, whereas IBackup caters primarily to SMB segment.

"The Online Backup segment of cloud storage has been a hot subject of late. Our multi-platform capable online backup products support a wide range of PCs, Mac’s and Unix based computers as well as hand held devices such as the iPhone. IDrive, coupled with IBackup, offers the broadest range, both in platforms and functionality of any product currently available," said Shweta S, COO at Pro Softnet Corp.

While the internet speed has been improving over the years, it is still a small fraction of the bandwidth available on a local area network which today runs into Gigabits.
